  • Step 1. Open Google Chrome.
  • Step 2. Search Google Photos.
  • Step 3. Sign in to your account.
  • Step 4. Select the photos you want to download. 
  • Step 5. Tap three dots at the top right corner. > tap Download.

Google Photos iOS version app supports downloading single or multiple photos. 

The steps to download photos from Google Photos iOS version app are pretty much alike on Android. Here is how to do it.

  • Step 1. Open Google Photos on your iPhone.
  • Step 2. Tap and hold to select the photos you want to download on your iPhone.
  • Step 3. Swipe the tool at the bottom to the right, and tap Save to device. These photos will be saved to your iPhone’s Gallery.

How to Transfer Google Photos to Gallery on the Computer

Method 1: Use Google Photos on the Webpage

Do you want to safeguard your photos? Downloading your photos from Google Photos to your computer will back up these photos on the local disk, as long as you do not delete them. You can export these photos to any device you like. 

  • Step 2. Select the photos you want to download and click on the three dots at the top right corner.

But, here I have a more straightforward way to download all photos at once which is to utilize the Google Takeout feature to do it. Google Takeout is also called Download Your Data. You can download and copy your data from your Google account. It’s a free tool to use. Here are steps on how to use Google Takeout on a computer and phone.

💡Use Google Takeout on your computer:

  • Step 1. Go to your Google Photos.
  • Step 2. Click on the gear icon (settings).

  • Step 4. Click on the Backup option. It will redirect to the Google Takeout page.
  • Step 5. You can choose specific photo data to export by clicking on the “All photo albums included” option.

  • Step 7. Choose which way to get your exported file of photos.

💡Use Google Takeout On Phone:

The steps are similar on the computer.

  • Step 1. Open your browser and search for Google takeout.
